Job upgrade

New job started last week. It's within the same company, but a different type of work. I'm no longer in the call center, I'm in a class room for the next 2 months. Then I go to a desk and have 2 months with supervision.

After that I'll be on my own and on commission. While I'm in training I'm getting full time 10/hr with benefits. As soon as I'm on my own though I'll be getting $8 for every request I close.

The Average is about 10-13 a day, but those who have been here a while can d oup to 16-20. And there's 2 hours mandatory overtime in effect because their really backed up.

So far I like the job. I'm picking it up better than some of the people who have been in the company longer than I.

Life is starting to get better and better. Everything is starting to fall into place. Job, home, fun. I've got everything going in a good direction. I don't hate going to work, I love going home, and though I'm cutting down on club time I think it's a good thing. I was starting to dread getting ready and wishing I was home as soon as I got there.

PROVIDENCE — No one was seriously hurt, but a three-story apartment building at Almy and Tell streets was seriously damaged yesterday in an afternoon fire.

A two-month-old infant was taken to Hasbro Children’s Hospital by rescue crews, but Fire Chief George S. Farrell said the infant was breathing on its own.

Fire officials estimated at least 10 adults and 5 children were made homeless by the 3:55 p.m. blaze that, from the outside, appeared to have severely damaged the top two floors of the building at 168 Almy St., at the intersection with Tell Street.

Eight fire engines, four ladder trucks and three rescue vehicles responded to the two alarms, Farrell said.

After what he called “an aggressive internal attack,” the fire was brought under control after about 20 minutes.

It was difficult to determine how many people lived in the house, Farrell said, because many of the tenants were either at work or possibly outside enjoying yesterday’s sunny weather when the fire broke out.

Everyone had gotten out of the building by the time firefighters arrived on the scene, he said.

At one point, Farrell said firefighters were concerned that the blaze might spread to a three-story apartment building next door. Though the heat from the fire melted the vinyl siding off that building, the fire was contained to 168 Almy St.

Farrell said fire investigators hadn’t been able to determine yet where or how the fire started.

“It’s all under investigation,” he said.

I've been 21 for a full week and tonight was the first night I got legally drunk. I have not paid anything for anything I've drunk, all of my wonderful friends have paid for it.

I should probably go to bed, but I am not tired. I left the club early because the drinks I had were drunk to fast.

4 DAYS!!!!

Actually it's probably 3 now, because it's like 5am. I will be 21 in 3 days. I'm so excited.

I spent my weekend out in the woods taking out my aggressions on my poor nearly defenseless friends. I got to hit my friends John and Gus and a few others with foam swords. I loved it.

Everyone should play Dragon Crest. It's a wonderful stress reliever.

Anyway everyone should come out to the club Friday and wish me a happy birthday. I wanna see all my friends there.

I don't know why, but I tend to keep all of the fortunes from my fortune cookies. I've been finding them as I clean and they all get put right next to my computer. I also know they'll get knocked off of the table, either by my hand or my cat.

X-men was awesome. The best of the three.

I loved everything. But I've never read the comics, and though I heard some complaints from those who are long time fans and readers of the comics, I think that it was as good as the commercials made it seem. I remember one scene where most of the theater started clapping and cheering. It was a very good night.

I can't wait to see it again.
